Licton Springs Review

MeBy Jessica Price

My feet are black again
dirty from the cobble streets
I’ll have to toss these shoes in the bin
They are worn from my travels
My hair is a crazy birdŐs nest
The sun has been beating on my scalp
and the wind picks up wisps of it
blows it around and doesnŐt ever put it back
in the right place
My skin is dry and burned
but I have seen the world
swum in the salty waters
taken pictures of the Vatican and the Pope
like on postcards
Nothing some aloe wonŐt soothe
My eyes have seen this world
It’s dirty beauty
blackened my feet again
